The mental clarity of going all-in

Instead of 10x distraction, double down on the 1x that works
I've been delusional for about 5 years.
There, I said it.
I thought I was going to build the next great business operating system. Teaching people how to run agencies, how to build businesses, using all the methods I learned while accidentally building a multi-million dollar marketing agency along with my partners and selling it for 8-figures in 2021.
The dream was real. The execution was scattered.
Here's how it started:
We built something amazing at my agency. Beyond what I imagined. But we didn't know what we were doing at the time - we just worked hard.
Then we had to hire consultants to help us correct the mistakes we made, and some of them provided the most generic advice imaginable.
I thought, "I can do better than this."
So I went on a building spree of products to help my ideal customer - me 20 years ago.
Agency Course in 2016. Project Apollo. Better Clients Accelerator. I wrote the book Service Stacking. Created Profit Pillars. Merged with Mercer to create ProfitSchool.
Each launch followed the same pattern: First launch was good. Second launch was great. Then... less and less traction.
But I kept building anyway.
The problem? I was adamant these products needed to be separate from MeasureU.
Different audience, different brand, different everything. I didn't want to confuse people who came for measurement training with business advice.
Instead, I confused everyone - including myself.
People kept asking: "Where do I go to find your stuff? How does this all work together?"
I had the answer to their confusion sitting right in front of me, but I ignored it for years.
So many people told me to stop with the new brands and just focus on what works.
I ignored them all.
Until a few weeks ago, when I finally surrendered and merged everything back into MeasureU.
The results have been immediate:
ProfitSchool Pro was combined into MeasureU Pro at half the price. All those courses, our live coaching, our n8n automation templates, our AI tools - everything is being put under one roof.
Our whole team is working on the same problem in the same direction for the first time in years. We're getting as much done with 8 people as we did with 15.
Revenue and profit impact? Incredible. Team happiness? Through the roof.
Obstacles that seemed huge just... disappeared when we pushed everything in the same direction.
Here's what this means for you:
If you're running a marketing consultancy but dreaming of becoming a software company - maybe just keep being a great marketing consultancy. Software probably isn't going to happen.
If you're torn between going all-in on AI and serving the clients who keep asking for your existing work - serve those clients. Use AI to make what you already do better, not to chase something completely different.
If you have people telling you to focus and you keep ignoring them because you think your side project will be 10x bigger...
Stop.
Your 1x idea working really well beats your theoretical 10x idea that never launches.
Give yourself permission to consolidate. To go all-in on what's already working.
The mental clarity alone is worth it.
