I've been talking about tanks and scooters a lot lately.

Weird combo, I know.

But here's what I mean - too many of us are building Fort Knox when all we really need is a Honda Civic to get to the grocery store.

We're solving problems we'll never have instead of the one sitting right in front of us.

I caught myself doing this constantly. Planning 10 steps ahead when I hadn't even figured out step 1. Letting my team do it too, instead of leading them toward what actually matters right now.

The shift happened when I started asking one question:

"What's the good enough to get going version?"

Not the perfect version. Not the bulletproof version. The version that gets us moving this week.

This mental shift has been huge for me. I'm accomplishing way more by trying to do a little each week versus attempting everything at once.

Here's where AI changes the game completely.

Before AI, I had to get pretty far down the road before I had a minimum acceptable presentation, email, or strategy document. The barrier to "good enough" was high.

Now? I just talk.

I talk to AI. It assembles my thoughts. That becomes my starting point.

Zero to one just became voice to text.

Even this newsletter - I'm literally talking to AI right now, and it's going to turn my rambling thoughts into something coherent. The minimum viable step is just... talking it out.

If you're stuck on something, stop playing chess.

Stop trying to think 10 moves ahead. Stop building tanks when you need scooters.

Go back to checkers for a minute. Figure out the very next move. The one you can make this week.

Then let AI help you figure out what comes after that.
