AI Search Destroyed a Publisher's Traffic. The Opportunity Is Real.

Most agencies are completely misreading what's happening with AI search.

A major UK publisher just filed legal documents with a regulator showing what AI Overviews did to their click-through rates. It's a real number, in a real document, with real lawyers attached.

Then I watched Google's CEO go on The Verge and tell a completely different story.

Both can't be right. The gap between them is exactly where most agencies are losing their bearings on what to actually do about it.

I also make an argument in the video that's going to bother some people. It's about whether 20 years of SEO experience is an asset or a liability when you're trying to figure out how AI actually behaves. I won't give it away here, but I think a lot of the SEO veterans I respect are going to fight me on it.
