I Handed My Decade-Old Reporting Template to thinkcell Assist

I've been giving away the same monthly reporting template for over a decade, and filling it out was always the part nobody wanted to do.

This week's video was sponsored by thinkcell, which asked me to use their product and create a video of my experience. Like every AI tool I experiment with and demonstrate on my YouTube channel, my opinions are my own and were not modified in any way.

I opened my original 2014 PowerPoint template and handed it to thinkcell Assist.

Assist reviewed the slides and recommended quite a few improvements. It tightened the copy and modernized the fonts across the deck.

It suggested KPIs and targets for the business.

It linked the charts to an Excel spreadsheet, so updating next month means changing the numbers and telling Assist to refresh.

It even generated an executive summary from the actual data in about a minute.

Why did I agree to review this product? Because most of us hate monthly reporting for clients, and I was hopeful this tool would be a great solution to those woes.

The verdict? It’s solid for producing the final report, but the data integration capabilities aren’t there yet (i.e. it doesn’t pull data from your Google Analytics). You still need to process your data manually or in another tool to generate the data behind the report.
