The real reason why your warm audience strategy is killing sales
The same offer you make to a warm audience (i.e. referrals) will not work for cold/unaware audiences when you provide services as your main product (i.e. agency, freelancer, consultant, dentist, etc.)
Why? Because of the context in which they see your offer.
When someone is warmly introduced to you, they are in "buy now" mode and will accept your offerings at face value.
They are the cream of the crop. The 3% we all dream about closing.
That's why your close rates are likely 75% or more with referrals.
But when you make a cold introduction, you start to face the harsh reality that you need a completely different offer to gain trust.
Your "kitchen sink" offer just won't cut it when the prospect is comparing you to others. It's too risky.
You'd be better off adjusting your offer to lead with a service that lowers the buyer's perceived risk.
Something you can deliver quickly and parlay into the next project.
